Not only in his Russian home country Aydar Gaynullin is a star, the accordion virtuoso has already made his mark in many other countries:
He played for presidents and heads of state of various countries such as Mikhail Gorbachev, Vladimir Putin, Jacques Chirac, Kim Chen Nir, Queen Sophia of Spain, Princess of Malaysia and the Sheikh of Kuwait. Moreover Gaynullin wrote music for plays and movies, has recorded several CDs and DVDs, and has performed in various TV shows.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Berlin Residence Orchestra, a very special encounter is going to happen: To kick off the anniversary tour, the ensemble and the multi-award winning accordionist present a special concert experience at the Berlin Philharmonie:

Aydar Gaynullin

Born in Moscow in 1981, Gaynullin began his lessons on the bayan (Russian form of button accordion) with only eight years. In 1992 he received a scholarship from the International Foundation "New Names" and in 1994 he was the prizewinner of the Foundation and the Russian Culture Fund, which earned him an entry in the Golden Book of the Russian president. From 1996 to 2000 he attended the Moscow Schnittke Music College and then the elite institution Gnessin Academy of Music, where he also studied singing. In 2005 he completed the Academy of Music, where he teaches today, with honors. 2003 Aydar Gaynullin was made an honorary member of the Conservatory in Kaunas. In Berlin, where he lives with his family today, he also studied at the Academy of Music Hanns Eisler. To this day, Aydar Gaynullin won a total of 17 international accordion competitions.

The ensemble was created in 2006 for the baroque concert series "Berlin Palace Concerts" consisting of prestigious and renowned musicians. In April 2016, the orchestra celebrates its 10th anniversary under the direction of Vladi Corda.

Vladi Corda

After Vladi Corda won the first prize in the violin competition of the USSR in 1989, he was the Concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra of the VM in Moscow. There he was appointed to soloist of the Chamber Orchestra in 1994. He was part of gigs and tours in the most famous concert halls. At the same time Vladi finished his studies at the National Tchaikovsky Music Academy in Kiev and since 2006 he is a soloist and Concertmaster of the Berlin Residence Orchestra.
