Berlin Residence Orchestra
The Berlin Residence Orchestra composed of international musicians was founded in 2006. As part of the concert series of the same name, the versatile orchestra has been on stage in more than 2000 performances. On the occasion of its tenth anniversary, the 2016 Ensemble was a great success in the Berlin Cathedral as well as in the Chamber Music Hall of the Berlin Philharmonic.
The Great Orangery Charlottenburg Palace is the home of the orchestra, an extraordinary venue for an orchestra with which the ensemble has been intensively engaged in an abundance of local program content from the repertoire of the 17th and 18th centuries during the last ten years. The New Wing of the Palace is another regular venue of the chamber music ensemble.
The orchestra also acts as a frequently requested partner for CD and DVD recordings. In addition to solo engagements, smaller ensembles within the orchestra design their own concert programs and present them in the context of special concerts at national and international venues.
