Sara Gouzy


A native of France, Sara Gouzy first finished her piano studies at the Conservatoire de Toulouse where she concluded her degree in 2007 and subsequently studied vocals at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" Berlin under Janet William. She has attended Master’s courses with Christine Schäfer, Helen Donath, Christiane Oelze and Helmut Deutsch.

Gouzy has gathered experiences on stages in France as well as in Germany. Thus, among others, she sang as Clotilde in B. W. Henze´s opera "Pollicino", as Cleopatra in "Giulio Cesare" by Handel, as Cupid from "Orfeo ed Euridice" by C.W Clucking, as Lauretta from "Gianni Schicchi" by G. Puccini and as Sandrina from "La Finta Giardiniera" by W. A. Mozart. In November, 2014, she sang in "Try Out", an opera premiere in the Tischlerei Hall of the Deutsche Oper Berlin.

Sara Gouzy is a prize winner of the Rotary Endowment. In 2012, she won 3rd Prize at the International Giulio-Perotti Singing Competition in Germany and in 2013, she was a finalist in the Paula Lindberg Song Competition in Berlin.   

In 2014, she won 1st Prize with Pianist Hemma Tuppy in the international singing competition "Three Centuries of Classical Romance" in St. Petersburg, Russia.
